Direct flights to Egypt are going to be opened from Kryvyi Rih airport

Kryvyi Rih International Airport hosted a presentation of the opportunities that the airport received thanks to the work of the city authorities - new runway lights, equipment and machinery for the maintenance of the runway. The modernization of the airport, which is part of the joint program of Vilkul and Pavlov, creates opportunities for the development of new tourist destinations. Thus, at the end of 2021, direct flights are scheduled from Kryvyi Rih to Egypt. one of the most popular tourist destinations among Ukrainians.

In the context of restrictions due to the pandemic, it is important to procive direct flights from Kryvyi Rih airport to the airports of the host countries in order to increase the safety of passengers.

The airport has established cooperation with Windrose Airlines, and negotiations are underway with Wizz Air to increase flights from Kryvyi Rih not only to Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, but also to other countries.

Deputy Mayor of Kryvyi Rih Serhii Miliutin noted: We are creating new opportunities for recreation of Kryvyi Rih residents. As part of the joint program of Vilkul and Pavlov, we have significantly modernized the airport, and serious work will continue next year. Regular flights from our airport are arranged. We presented his new opportunities for more than a hundred travel agents to join forces and make direct flights from Kryvyi Rih, in particular, to Egypt at the end of this year. We are also considering the possibility of new direct charter flights from our city. "

Igor Lashin, Director of the Kryvyi Rih International Airport, said: This year we have announced our airport to the wide audience. Thanks to the joint efforts of the central and city authorities, we are improving the airport. Tour operators, for their part, are creating a new direction. As a result, Kryvyi Rih residents will have a long-awaited opportunity to visit cities around the world."

Mr. Lashin said that during the COVID-19 lockdown, when no flights were carried out, a new fence and runway lights were installed at the airport to increase security, and equipment for the airport building and passengers was purchased, including an air launch unit for aircraft, a unit to prevent icing of vessels, special snow clearing equipment.

Travel Professional Group representative Lyudmila Koval said the company plans to launch flights to Egypt's new resort, Marsa Alam, which has better service and natural conditions compared to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada.
